About The Wham

The Wham is a website created by a group of students and is currently run by Marquis Hunt ( Facebook ) and Loren Heywood ( with the guidance of computer genius Kanishka Azimi, and the advice/funding from Alex Kocher (Facebook) & Jason Behrens (Facebook) ). We all went to school around the Massachusetts, New York, and Philadelphia, and molded our ideas of the needs of students into this website.

The goal of the Wham is to create an informative college environment around classifieds, events, news, and more. Currently our website supports only 20 colleges, but we plan to expand to all colleges ( including community colleges ) in the United States very soon.

We want our website to emphasize:

Transparent Privacy: The ability for people to post information publicly or privately. Unlike other private sites, we emphasize moderation and good will ( ie: no spamming, no hurtful gossip ).

Showcasing Activism: There are things that college students can be a part to make a difference in our own campus. We hope to emphasize these acts of activism, and to develop projects to expand them to other schools.

Community: We want to do as much as we can to make sure all college students feel involved and knowledgeable of their college. Do you know your school’s fight song? Which student club donated the most to charity? Where are the closest free clinics off-campus? We can’t answer all the questions, but this website is the best environment to interact with information.

Do you want to be a part of our community? You can post articles, events, school needs, questions: anything you want. If you need help, feel free to contact us. If you like our vibe and our community, become a fan of our Facebook group and spread the word.
