Secretary of Education Duncan Talks W/ Students on New Education Bill

Arne Duncan, Secretary of Education and the a former Chicago Public Schools administrator ( Duncan’s battle to thwart cheating by teachers was showcased in the book Freakonomics), spoke with student journalists last week about the new funding initiative by the Obama administration to help student tuition.

The full story can be read at the BU Daily Free Press. Whether this will help students save money, no one is really sure. With inflation and skyrocketing textbooks, hopefully there will be other initiatives beyond the federal government that can help students afford the increasing costs of education.
