I Love New York Design Logo: A Good Story For Future Designers

i-love-new-york-milton-glaser

This post is about the ” I love New York ” logo, created by Milton Glaser in 1975.

Here is a video where he talks about the logo, being exploited for his work ( he doesn’t own the trademark to this logo ), and how he views the logo’s popularity all around the world.

For all of you up-and-coming graphic designers, don’t give away your materials. Make sure you at least credit your free work. In the event it blows up, you will still retain control of how to showcase your work. This goes especially for college students in internships. Keep all of your material in a portfolio, and don’t contract any of your stuff away unless you still have some control of how your work is utilized.
